California Dreaming, On Such A Winter's Day

Diane von Furstenburg's Spring 2010 collection is spectacular. It has a mixture of tribal and patterned mini and maxi dresses as well as some more cocktail chic draped dresses and pant sets. All the warm and exuberant colors make me wish summer would hurry itself up so I can opt for a more free-spirit attire and store away all these scarves and sweaters I have been depending on in the winter! Also love how diverse her models are. From watching how she interacted with Whitney on The Hills (Guilty pleasure ;-]) she seems like a really charming and humbled designer.

And she graces the H&M Winter Issue with some holiday spirit ; Red stained lips, over-sized jewelry and a merry attitude. Tis the season :-) With a name like Chanel Iman, I'd only hope she'd become a star.






More H&M advertisements she's done . Beautiful girl with an exotic and versatile look and she's only 19!Definitely paving the way for other women of color in the fashion world...However, saw her hosting on America's Next Top Model and she was a bit vapid & not that interesting in the least bit...

TJ Maxx! Emilio Pucci, ridiculously priced (like $248) but such a festive New Years-esque top. There was a whole section of high fashion designer clothing at my local Marshalls so I wa definitely shocked. But these tops stuck out the most!

5 REASONS WHY SHE'S THAT GIRL

1.) Her name screams legacy ! She's the great grand-daughter of Ernest Hemingway. Not to mention, Hemingway is my mother's maiden name so she's already thought of highly by moi

2.) She's cute & seems like a personable young lady

3.) Look at her face ! She photographs so well. Tyra Banks would be proud of the "smizing" occurring in that VOGUE Russia cover page.

4.) She's fabulous on and off set. I love her personal style, its nonchalant but still fierce

5.) She's a breath of fresh air to the whole New York fashion scene. Even though she's American, her style is very Parisian grunge to me.

David Koma's last collection & the geometric curves of these dresses have me whipped ! I love little mini dresses & I loved how his collection featured dark, eerie dresses & lucent Easter color dresses. I'm sure you've all seen Beyonce wear his black dress with the round shoulder detail...fair to say she did it justice. Not mad.
